Clients

Examples of how we help clients

  • Help stakeholders to collaborate on sector-wide human resource strategies.
For example, Graham worked with public, private, and non-profit employers who provide services to persons with developmental disabilities in Alberta to create a long-range human resource strategy for this sector.
  • Design and conduct customized work environment surveys. Graham was the project lead in the development of Accreditation Canada’s Worklife Pulse Surveys for employees and physicians. Graham also was the lead consultant in the development of the Employee / Physician Experience Surveys now widely used by Ontario healthcare organizations. We also have full-service, web-based survey capabilities for designing, conducting, analyzing and reporting customized surveys.
  • Provide employment and labour market policy advising and research. For example, Graham researched and wrote reports on work time and work-life balance in federally regulated industries for the Federal Labour Standards Review.
  • Help organizations to consolidate, integrate and learn from their existing human resource and workplace wellness policies, practices and data. For example, Graham conducted a healthy organization audit of a national professional service organization, identifying ways to integrate HR initiatives within a healthy organization framework. Graham also has advised many health care organizations on how to develop more strategic and effective approaches to HR, occupational health and safety, and workplace wellness.
  • Graham works with executive teams, managers and employee groups to create workplace or people visions, guiding principles, and action plans. He helped the executive team of a leading natural resources company to develop a people vision and guiding principles, which were used to redesign management training and development.
  • Graham designs and facilitates, in collaboration with clients, interactive workshops on a wide range of workplace issues. Issues addressed include engagement, resilience, people leadership skills, psychological health and safety, safety culture, and more. Clients benefit from the action plans produced by workshop participants.
  • Graham and his team have conducted in-depth labour market research to address clients’ human resource development needs. For example, a project with the Manufacturers’ Safety Alliance of BC identified employers’ needs for skilled occupational health and safety professionals.
  • Graham helps organizations to develop resources and tools that promote healthy and productive workplaces. For example, he was the lead consultant for Alberta Health Services’ Healthier Together Workplace website and recognition program, and for the Ontario Hospital Association’s Quality Healthcare Workplace Awards program.
  • Graham designs and conducts research used in expert testimonies for labour arbitrations and legal cases. On behalf of plaintiffs, he was involved in class-action cases addressing unpaid overtime in the banking sector.
